Fortunea is a bi-weekly show on our station that will stimulate your senses. During the one-hour mix, you'll hear a carefully curated selection of tracks produced by the "Fortunea" label, productions from friendly producers, and a handful of musical insights from Vienna's club scene. The show is prepared and hosted by Klaus Benedek – an Austrian DJ, producer, and founder of the Fortunea label, established in 2014.
Klaus Benedek, hailing from a small town near Vienna, was captivated by electronic music during the 90s techno boom, spending hours exploring video clips on MTV and Viva. In 2004, he began self-teaching production and started collecting vinyl records, eventually landing his first DJ gigs in 2006. From 2008 to 2010, Klaus was a resident DJ at MNML Thursdays in the Camera Club and co-founded the event series Tellerbetrieb with Alex Kolodziej in 2012.
His music, influenced by Chicago House, Deep House, Disco, and Breakbeat, has been released on various labels including Petrol Dollar, Subversaal, and Soul Shift Music. In 2014, Klaus launched his own label, forTunea, to further his creative vision.
