Phil Loraine, House Trained label manager, developed a passion for electronic music during the acid house era, honing his DJ skills on Technics turntables in the summer of 1990. His career took off with a set at the 10,000-capacity venue Bowlers in Manchester, followed by a residency at The Void in Stoke, where he shared the stage with icons like Graeme Park and Judge Jules.
After moving to London in 2001, he played at renowned clubs like Ministry of Sound and The Cross, co-founding House Trained with Neil and Ben Terry. The brand became a staple in the underground scene, hosting parties alongside Fabric and featuring artists like Mylo. His five-year stint at Ministry of Sound Radio brought him gigs across Europe and paved the way for the launch of House Trained Records, producing releases such as a rework of Hacienda classic Hardcore Uproar by Together.
Later, Loraine joined forces with Matt Jagger at Europa Management, representing talents like Purple Disco Machine, Orbital, and David Penn, further cementing his influence in the electronic music industry.
